Contact Lens Exams
Contact lenses are thin, curved devices worn directly on the eye’s surface to correct vision such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. They offer a wider field of vision than glasses and are great for active lifestyles.

Soft Contact Lenses
- Daily disposables: single use, then discard
- Biweekly: replacement every 2 weeks
- Monthly: replacement every 30 days

Types Of Contact Lens Correction
- Spherical: standard, no astigmatism correction
- Toric: astigmatism correction
- Multifocal: distance and near correction in both eyes
- Monovision: one eye has distance vision correction, the other has near vision correction

Corneal Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP) Lenses
- Last longer than soft contact lenses
- Excellent for irregular corneas but can be worn by almost anyone
